About Ross Hill Wines
Ross Hill Wines has been a 5 star Halliday Winery for the past five years and became the only government certified carbon neutral winery in Australia in 2016.
Being carbon neutral is achieved when net greenhouse gas emissions of an organisation or product are equal to zero.
Ross Hill Wines has reduced energy usage by changing electrical motors to variable speed motors, using low energy lights, changing the way they use refrigeration in the wine making process, implementing a waste recycling program, monitoring water and reducing diesel usage.
Since becoming a carbon neutral operation, major companies are choosing to purchase Ross Hill Wines because it contributes to their own efforts of achieving government certified carbon neutral status.
“Ross Hill has worked so hard to be carbon neutral and it’s been a real team effort from the vineyard, winery, cellar door, and logistics. It is wonderful to be part of such a celebration of what our local communities are able to achieve.,” said Sally Wilson, Manager CW for Ross Hill Wines.
