Shane Phillips, Tribal Warrior Aboriginal Corporation

Shane Phillips is the Chief Executive Officer of the Tribal Warrior Aboriginal Corporation, a community based Aboriginal organisation.

Shane’s biggest personal achievement has been the Clean Slate without Prejudice Program that is based around a morning boxing program that is run three days a week. The program is run in conjunction with the police and since its inception in 2009 the number of crimes committed by local youth has declined by 80%.

In 2013 he was named Local Hero in the Australia Day awards. Shane is committed to empowering people- whether indigenous or not- to take responsibility for their lives.
